Sift for X
One story, not ten versions.
Sift makes the X home timeline less repetitive. It keeps the first useful version of a story and folds later repeats directly inside the timeline you already use.
Keep the information, lose the echo
Sift compares posts already visible in Safari and folds close paraphrases, repeated links, recently seen stories, and promoted posts. It does not replace X, fetch another feed, or change X's native reply, repost, like, bookmark, and navigation controls.
Brief, Balanced, or everything
Balanced reduces clear repetition. Brief also folds repeated sources and obvious low-signal hype. All returns the native timeline immediately. Every folded item has Show, and Enough today can quiet one story for the next 72 hours.
Local by design
Sift reads only posts already rendered on the X home timeline after you grant Safari access to x.com or twitter.com. It makes no network requests of its own, creates no account, performs no automated actions, and does not persist raw post text, usernames, or URLs.
How it works
- Install Sift on your Mac and enable its extension in Safari.
- Grant access to
x.comortwitter.com. - Open the Home timeline and choose Brief, Balanced, or All.
Sift improves only the posts X has already chosen to show. It currently works on the Home timeline in Safari for Mac.
